Role Overview
The Head of EdTech is responsible for leading and managing DMILZE's EdTech division, ensuring that all learning programs are professionally designed, effectively delivered, commercially viable, and capable of producing measurable outcomes for students.
The HOD will oversee program development, curriculum, instructors, student experience, academic operations, learning technology, partnerships, and EdTech growth, while working closely with Finance, Marketing, Customer Experience, HR, and the Executive team. The person should be both an education leader and an operator.
The question they should constantly be answering is: "How do we make DMILZE's EdTech division better, bigger, more profitable, and more impactful?"
Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategic direction of the EdTech division and develop the annual EdTech strategy
- Define programs DMILZE should offer
- Identify emerging technology skills and learning opportunities
- Develop new training products and programs
- Set departmental goals and KPIs
- Develop strategies for student acquisition, retention, completion, and progression
- Monitor competitors and trends in the African/global EdTech space
- Present regular performance reports to management
