Fictional interview, DMILZE EdTech practice data.
Shop: provision store, Surulere. Owner: Mrs Bello (fictional). Staff: 1.

Q: Tell me about the last time you ran out of something.
A: Last week Indomie finished on Tuesday and I only noticed Thursday when three customers asked. I lost those sales, maybe N15,000. My supplier comes Monday and Thursday so I had to wait.
Q: How do you know what to order?
A: I look at the shelf and write in my notebook. Sometimes my boy forgets to tell me what finished.
Q: What have you tried?
A: My nephew made an Excel for me but I never use it. Too much typing at the end of the day.
Q: What do you use your phone for in the shop?
A: WhatsApp for everything. Suppliers, customers, POS alerts.
Q: Would you pay for something to help?
A: If it really saves me money, maybe small, like N2,000 a month. I pay for POS already.
